"WIZARD"
I'm not officially allowed to enter. That didn't stop us from creating our own pool in West Leads! Knowing how I did last year, I'm not sure I would trust me, but it's about the fun anyway, so who cares? Read more for my Final Four analysis. You know, for what it's worth. Neverland Lost Boys - The Lost Boys are the wild card in this tournament. They've been up and down all year and are always unpredictable. They've won some amazing games that they had no business winning, but they've also lost games they should've won. So, naturally, their greatest challenge on the road to the Final Four is in the first round. The Internationals won an easy conference and got here mostly on their unity and teamwork. It's exactly what the Boys can take advantage of... and exactly what can trip them up. I think they get through the first round, and meet the Cannonballs in the second. The Boys have a strong history against buccaneer style offense, so I see them putting together a clever and effective game that looks like it was pulled out of the boys' asses. Because it probably will be. However, I don't think they have quite enough against the Ghouls in the Final Four. Either through fear or exhaustion, the Boys will probably falter in the penultimate round. Big Thunder Mountain Goats - The Goats have bullied and demolished their way through the competition this year, and they shouldn't really have much trouble from the Tommies, who themselves just barely edged out the Yodelers just to make the tournament this year. They would probably have a tougher time with the Bellhops, but I just can't bet against my Skippers. So, maybe the Goats fall to the Tower, but there's no way they get beyond the Final Four. The lower half of the bracket, and especially the Rebs, is just too good. Gracey Manor Ghouls - The Ghouls actually have one of the easier paths to the championship game. The Rovers in round 1 used to run circles around the competition. In the 60s. The Vultures could be a little bit of a challenge, but the fear factor of the Ghouls will take advantage of even these carrion fowl. The Lost Boys in the Final Four are an outside pick that really has the potential to spring against the Ghouls. The boys are tenacious and haven't shown any fear at all this year. In the end, I think Gracey Manor makes it to the championship, but they haven't seen anything like the Rebel Spies this year, and they fail in the final game. Star Tours Rebel Spies - The Spies are on a hell of a roll this year, and it's not really clear when they're going to fall. So far, Tours is undefeated, and they'll have no problem with either Tomorrowland or the Cadets in the first round. The Space Porters in round 2 have some punch that the Rebs haven't seen this year, but they haven't backed down from a challenge yet, and the Porter's high flying ways won't really slow down the Rebs' run. The Goats are a big, aggressive team, which is a very different challenge than the Porters, but I just can't see the Spies falling. They're just too strong and too adaptable. That ability to assess and adjust to the competition is what will take them past the terrifying Ghouls and to the championship this year. And maybe for years to come!
