Schroeder Pevensie
After acquiring the information from Worthingtons Terminal - I knew I needed to prepare from someone I did not expect to have this kind of connection. Corporate dominance wasn't something I was interested in, however this particular company is doing more than just making money off the people. In fact, Worthington probably see's money the same way I do, just a tool to get you what you need for the end goal. Which makes Worthington far more dangerous than any other demon, god or titan that I have ever face. Killing him won't kill his ideas nor will it stop the motion of which he is proficiently running his business. If we are to have any kind of defense against his internal take over, we need to disconnect ourselves from the technologies and advancements that the world is about to provide. Slowly but surely he is monopolizing the necessities of living and masking it for the betterment of humanity. Where in truth, there is something far more insidious in play in getting the trust of the public. I was recently contacted by one of Worthingtons public relations, he was able to get the information from a trusted employee of Mycroft Ind. and sold the information for large sums. Either way, it caught my attention to whom I would be dealing with. But before I agree to any kind of meeting, I want to know a little bit more about the client. Hence, the stealth mission that I was able to successfully complete. I need to make sure I complete these updates before setting a date on Worthingtons meeting.
I could only imagine what it would look and feel like to experience meeting a god. How interesting it would feel to stand in front of a powerful deity that represented something spectacular. The actual embodiment of traits and specialties. Little did I know, I would find myself staring face to face with the goddess of Scorpions and poison. An Egyptian goddess who played on the neutral grounds of godly affairs, for she believed that her poisons were so potent that who ever would be victim to her poison would have to have a vital reason. A single death, can be precise into killing something far bigger than what it represents.
"I've been watching you closely. Schroeder Pevensie." She knows my identity. Of course she does, she's a goddess after all? They pry into that kind of information without even having to ask. "and you're Serqet." The scorpions around this elegant temple gave it away, not to mention she looked to have a giant venmous tail behind her holding her up like it was some kind of chair. The last thing I remembered was falling into a pit, my body suddenly being stung by scorpions. Yet, here I am. How appropriate. "I know of your mission, young Pevensie. You seek to become an Acolyte? To have the influence of a god coursing through your veins? Thoth is worthy of your attention, however I provide other pathways for you to travel. Of course, you can always deny it and the poisons that's slipping in your blood stream can quickly kill you. To have my blessing is a curse." I kept a stoic expression, listening to the way she talked. The way she portrayed her elegant stature. Everything, flawless and sultry. " This doesn't really give me a choice" I muttered back. " I will give you what you want. I will teach you how to manipulate your victims. How to master different poisons. All of which will bring you one step closer to reaching your true godly potential. In return, you will do all you're bidding under my name. Spread who I am to your victims, I will grow stronger as well as you. " I could feel my rage beginning to grow, but I kept calm. I knew that every God would have their agenda and this was Serqets. The plan was one of survival, like many of the deities who are struggling to exist after the great Smite. |
