Schroeder Pevensie
I could only imagine what it would look and feel like to experience meeting a god. How interesting it would feel to stand in front of a powerful deity that represented something spectacular. The actual embodiment of traits and specialties. Little did I know, I would find myself staring face to face with the goddess of Scorpions and poison. An Egyptian goddess who played on the neutral grounds of godly affairs, for she believed that her poisons were so potent that who ever would be victim to her poison would have to have a vital reason. A single death, can be precise into killing something far bigger than what it represents.
"I've been watching you closely. Schroeder Pevensie." She knows my identity. Of course she does, she's a goddess after all? They pry into that kind of information without even having to ask. "and you're Serqet." The scorpions around this elegant temple gave it away, not to mention she looked to have a giant venmous tail behind her holding her up like it was some kind of chair. The last thing I remembered was falling into a pit, my body suddenly being stung by scorpions. Yet, here I am. How appropriate. "I know of your mission, young Pevensie. You seek to become an Acolyte? To have the influence of a god coursing through your veins? Thoth is worthy of your attention, however I provide other pathways for you to travel. Of course, you can always deny it and the poisons that's slipping in your blood stream can quickly kill you. To have my blessing is a curse." I kept a stoic expression, listening to the way she talked. The way she portrayed her elegant stature. Everything, flawless and sultry. " This doesn't really give me a choice" I muttered back. " I will give you what you want. I will teach you how to manipulate your victims. How to master different poisons. All of which will bring you one step closer to reaching your true godly potential. In return, you will do all you're bidding under my name. Spread who I am to your victims, I will grow stronger as well as you. " I could feel my rage beginning to grow, but I kept calm. I knew that every God would have their agenda and this was Serqets. The plan was one of survival, like many of the deities who are struggling to exist after the great Smite.

The temple of Thoth wasn't as exclusive as I wanted it to be, when we arrived the holy ground was on the verge of being attacked. I did find it odd that our trip to the temple wasn't as dangerous as I expected it to be, pleasureable if anything. To my surprise, half the acolytes that gathered around the temple of knowledge were now lying face down in the red sands and the ones slaying the innocent lives were the ones that vowed to protect the creation of gods. I don't recognize this world anymore, those who are meant to be the defender of light and justice are now attacking those who are simply looking for sanctuary?
My orders were clear to my team: Save those who can be save and slay the angels who stand there with false faith. Upon entering the temple with Chance, I witnessed a battle of two warriors. One who is stealthy and darkened tricks and another with a burning sword, bright white wings and reflexes of an experienced knight. I rushed in further, wanting to capture the angel but carelessly stepped onto a panel that triggered the temple traps. Before I knew it, the earth that was once under my feet had shattered and lead me into the abyss of a long dark pit. As I fall hard onto my back, pain shooting through my body as I laid there trying to catch my breathe; my ears perked to the sound of something crawling in the sands. Before I could get up, I suddenly felt a sharp pain piercing through my forearm. Another piercing in the back in my neck and another on my ankle. All of which, so painful that my muscles began to tense from reaction! I could only throw off the insect before reaching into my pocket for my lighter. With the lighter tight in my palm, I clapped together releasing a ring of fire around my body to reveal the pit filled with scorpions! It was through the jets of fire swirling that I realized, I may be dead in just a few seconds... Chance felt his grip tighten on the seat of the leather passenger chair, his eyes out to the window of the city growing smaller as they gained altitude. He had no idea when he was going to see Vegas again, but thankfully technology was back to where he could easily get in contact with Vince if he needed to. He wanted to say good bye, but apparently he was still in Chicago taking care of some things. They always had different missions but it was always nice to see each other and go back to the days when they were young, not having to worry about the things that were going on now. The signal above them suddenly turned off, giving everyone the okay to take off their seat belts if they wanted to enjoy the exclusive ammenties in the plane. For a small jet, it felt very spacey. Almost like a giant 1st class lounge in a pent house rather than the first class he had seen on commercial airlines. To the corner was Schroeder, he got up from his seat and made his way over to the bar to make himself something to drink. Ben was also there, sitting next to Robbie who tended to follow Schroeder around like a lost puppy. It was an odd mix of teams, obviously coming together for a greater goal. It never occured to me until I was at the Trinity house that I would somehow be tied with Chance Nefers. I've known him since the Order years and was the Egyptian explorer tied to the chaos of this mesh pot of a city. It was proven that there were tensions between Chance and Vince, certain desires that weren't met that began to slowly fester inside of them. The feeling of desire is a strong poison, wether it's power or attraction it's strong enough to even persuade the strongest of men.
What I seek for is a connection with the gods themselves. People are chosen, like Cyle and Raf to be blessed by the gods and wield the power of their deity. As a demigod, your traits and genetics are enhanced in a way far more advanced that what my alchemy studies can comprehend. The questions I have are no longer in books or in common pratice. The questions I have is the new frontier of what we can all be. With hard work, understanding and dedication you are able to become more than just a demigod. You can be become a legend and in theory, a god in the astral plane of their existence. I am still learning how the affairs of gods is tied to our destinys here as mortals, but I might as well be active in my search of finding the truth. Chance revealed to me, that as an acolyte you are tied to the same genetic category of being a demigod. You're connections with the gods portray how strong they influence your aura in life. One does not need to be born special to become an acolyte, but the knowledge and rituals of pagan beliefs is what ties you to the thread of the immortals. To begin that journey, one must admit the desires of what they want to achieve, for the gods will need a reason for them to gain their attention. I wish to become an Acolyte and understand my connection with my deity. I wish to have their blessing and spread their influence through my order. I wish to change this world for the better since now more than ever, it needs to be cleansed. Allow me to be your legend |
