LOS ANGELES - Superior Army Lieutenant Taylor Maxwell of Long Beach, California, was found dead this morning in a hotel room in Los Angeles. In a statement, LAPD spokesperson stated that they received a call at 8:55 am from the Andaz West Hollywood, where Lt. Maxwell was staying. Hotel staff told police that they found the lt. on the bed and unresponsive. Emergency medical technicians pronounced him dead at the scene. The circumstances around Lt. Maxwell's death are still unclear. According to LAPD sources, Lt. Maxwell was found on the bed, naked and wearing a superior collar. There were numerous drugs scattered around the room, including anti-depressants, painkillers, marijuana, and ecstasy. Police also indicated that it appeared others had been in the room, possibly as late as 3 or 4 am. Police will have more information when it becomes available, though they are treating the lieutenant's death as suspicious until all factors can be ruled out. It was Lt. Maxwell's bullet that killed Colonel Frank Lee, an event that gave a name and face to the Federation of Superiors. While Maxwell was cleared by the army's special superior branch of wrongdoing in the event, an army spokesperson stated that the lieutenant had been on administrative leave since the incident, seeking to recover mentally from the incident.
