THE FALLEN ACOLOYTE
It's an interesting feeling, merging with a god who seems to know all. However, he himself admits that the thirst for knowledge doesn't stop with knowing everything. It continues and it never satisfies, a feeling Chance now shares with his leader, who was given the name Scorpio. After all, theres an endless amount of questions that can continue on to reveal other truths. The battle can sometimes be when to stop, not how to win.
The Hidden Oasis was known to the Egyptian Government of being a vigilante rebel group, to some of the higher officials concern; they were another terrorist group working against their order. However, its made clear that the Hidden Oasis were also against other rebellious groups such as ISIS, Al Qaeda and the Taliban. There were talks among the people that their groups would intercept shipments and take them for their own, it's within their own rebellion groups interest to help the people around them. If they cannot change the country, they can at least make it better for the corner they have. Even if it means a violent solution. The government has yet to locate their base, but if you were to ever to need to get a contract with on, People of the markets are more than willing to help if the right phrase is asked. Those seeking help are profiled by one of their rebels , watched and studied before taking the request. It is then, the message returns to the Hidden Oasis where their leader; Cabal Halabi answers. The question only needed to be asked, but Thoth knows the location of the Oasis. The leader prayed to Thoth and Sobek, The Crocodile god of the Nile. The influence from their base is strong as well as their morale and duties through the streets of Egypt. It is said, that all Cabal needs to do, is give the message to the people to rise and all will take arms for their thankfulness to the rebel leader. Once the base is found for the first time, it will be easier to locate in the future. Thoth has given the blessings through the hot deserts, that the Oasis can only be found through a portal of a mirage. It is then, that their intentions are judged through the expectations of the Oasis leader. They will either die in the desert through dehyrdation and exhaustion, the mirage leaving them to their reality or they will be transported to the Oasis that springs life and security.
Chance lead the way down the familiar halls, he remembered visiting here when he was younger with his father. He was introduced to some of his dads favorite temples, this one caught his interest in particular since the temple itself was somewhat of a maze for those who wasn’t used to it. The acolyte could easily read the signs and through memory, he lead his way to the long chamber that displayed a giant statue of a man with a head of an ibis. A bird like creature with long curved beak. Towards his feet was an empty pedestal, the torches on the side magically lit up from the presence of the two Acolytes. “ What little remains of him is still here, its faint.. But I can feel him.” Chance hushed out to the other before cautiously making his way in front of the empty stand. With a wave of his hand, egyptian charaters were beginning to glow as if the stone surface was a surface of a book. Slowly, the pillars holding the temple up were beginning to reveal more symbols, almost as if it was revealing the story of time itself to the two standing there.
Faruq moved oddly, staring forward, seemingly oblivious to the strangeness of everything while staying silent and almost intentionally maintaining the awkwardness the whole time. “What makes you think he is alive?” the acolyte asked bluntly, his large eyes showing no surprise to the glowing characters, as though it happened all the time for him. “Me hoping and finding out right now.” Chance admitted and began to read the passage. The words he spoke began to slowly echoe, causing the glowing characters to brighten all around them. It flashed, forcing the two into a room of pure white and almost as if time stood still the two were standing in an infinte room of whiteness. “Morning” Chance greeted, a friendly smile on his face as he tossed a bottle of water for Robbie to have. “ hydrate yourself, we’re in a desert. It’s only the morning brisk but the temperature is going to change drastically. You also have time to swim in the pond if you want to bathe. The waters purified.” Robbie took the water and offered a weak smile. “Thanks,” he smirked, standing up and letting the freshly formed sweat glisten off his body for… well, really any of the three to admire. He downed the water and turned toward the pond, leaving his tent to pick up in a few minutes. As he got to the water’s edge, he started to pull his shorts off, showing both how little he was wearing… and a slender, juicy… and glistening ass before jumping naked into the pond, chancing a glance back to see if any of the men were watching. Chance gulped and made his way over to the Oasis, his eyes watching the boy swimming naked as the sun continued to rise up in the morning. The acolyte reached to take off his shirt shirt, revealing his clearly chiseled pecs that looked as if any man could feed from them. His nipples perked and his waist curving nicely. He tugged off his pants, dropping everything to his ankles to show his half erected cock dangling between his legs before slowly walking into the Oasis with the teen. “Feels refreshing..” Schroeder convinced me to take him to Egypt so both of us would start the path of the acolyte. When I asked him why on why he wanted to do this, his answer somehow sparked the old embers of when I started as an order. Back then, I fought with wonderment with the idea of truly making a difference in this world. Those who are given the gift should use them to help better others, while the ones who are born with nothing fight even harder to survive. How was it that my sister no longer cares of her connection with Isis? Without her protection, neither her or I would be where we are right now. But it's alright, it's in human nature to fall into selfish tendencies. I wish nothing ill upon her, but I hope the day she calls to Isis the goddess will remember who she once was. I, however, with ties severed from my ritualist practice and the years of spending them in the desert, living through harsh climates while at the same time trying my best to keep a smile on my face; was taken from me. My sense of purpose of helping others, taken from the great smite.
It than occurred to me, spending my time in Trinity and reliving my glory days of an Order was a security blanket for myself. I didn't want to be involved with this war of gods, knowing their affairs would have a better tie than most others. I fought off zergs, hypnotized victims, reckless clowns as well as a range of demons and angels. I stopped working on myself; the type of problems I faced was easy compared to what my full potential. In return, it was taken away. I could of done something. I could of helped more. Now that there is less, I'm afraid that the realm of the gods will completely shatter. Where would that leave all of us? where would that leave me? I want to make a difference, I want to change the world for the better. Schroeder said he would guide me and together, we can both learn from each other. I revealed that we would need to go back to Egypt and visit a temple that is still active. I have a feeling that the temple of Thoth in Alexander still stands. The fire is dim, but it is still lit. I had a minor contact with him not too long ago, perhaps speaking and making that connection was meant to be? I open my opportunities and hope that Thoth will take his humble acolyte to spread his knowledge and his word. Usually Chance would get his news from a reliable source: the Cyrax updates. However, the feed of angelic beings attacking humans and videos of a ray of light shooting dowm from the sky like homing missles was all over the place. It was known as “the Great Smite” Groups like the EOH, an anti superior group was spreading messages of fear and propaganda. Where as religious evanglicals were defending them saying they were getting rid of the wicked like all angels do. It's a weird persepective that Chance never thought he would experience. Worst of all, his prayers on taking the avatar of his egyptian gods no longer worked. If the great smite wasn't real, why wasn't his abilites working?

Chance NefersMy parents always made sure that I saw and appreciated our egyptian culture. They are explorers after all, but turns out I'm part of an exclusive lineage that can somehow tap to our ancestors. I've come to realize that even though I appreciate who we are, there's also alot of darkness that comes with it. To survive, you need to be able to adapt, especially with the war of evolution.
