For several days, Marcos valued the company of Blake. The feeling was unusual for the new chief. Every love he held before was... out of strength, almost being needed. Blake was different. He felt... cared for. It was difficult for Marcos to understand since it was a feeling he had never experienced before. He knew it could not last; Blake was his brother's, and both would eventually have to head home. To a certain degree, it even made the moments they spent together more special.
Yet, those moments were already fading away. More responsibilities were piled upon him. Meetings with the King of Atlantis, briefings on Quetzal culture, planning the ceremonies, and deciding in what ways his new realm was going to be involved in the wars. Something told him there was little time. Itzel was excellent at his job, keeping him focused. All of this meant that he had little time to reflect on everything that had happened, his victory over Anwar, his defeat of the Chancellor, his reunion with his brother. To a certain degree, he wondered if it was better that way. The work gave him a purpose, one that Marcos was used to. That work was not slowing down. After a conversation with the new Atlantean king, a there was a trip he would need to take. At the same time, the defenses of the city were vital and in desperate need of attention...
