Avatar Koh found himself in a familiar territory in the fox temples. It felt as if he was going through a journey he couldn't understand; like there was no purpose but for some reason he kept going forward. He had limited time before he went dormant, living in the subconscious world did that. Its not until the creator in human realm goes to sleep that Avatar Koh can continue his journey. It was difficult, since many things flash through the creators creative process. It's until he really focuses that he finds the connection and can maybe learn from within. The Avatar woke from his connection and found himself in the meditation spot of the fox temple. It was an elegant temple of white, orange and gold. Flames danced elegantly above the wick of white candles. The room was spacious, round with white tapestry's dangling from the ceiling. All in different languages from English, Japanese to Arabic. All of which translating to the word " Harmony" There were elegant statues of foxes all in different poses, while real foxes casually walked the temple grounds. The monks that worked in the temples all knew the avatar would appear, they had prayed and hoped he would help them with their problem. The monks were generous people, they were rich in their fox culture and some of which even had Kitsune like traits. One would have the fox ears, while some high ranked monks even had orange fox tails.
The Avatar listened and soon found that the fires around the temple were being stolen. Some had witnessed a dark figure stealing them from their wick and running out into the dark forest. They had sent their cunning monks to try and send them back, but they were easily defeated in the unfamiliar territory. Avatar Koh didnt hesitate to follow them out and journey his way into the dark forest. He told the monks to stay and protect the temple, while he enters alone hoping to bring back the fox fires. As he stepped further into the mysterious land he was suddenly attacked by sharp throwing knives. He heard the sound of the metal first, causing him to dodge with grace and see two men jump out from the hedges. Their eyes were dark, painted over like a raccoon. Their clothes earth tones and rough material to withstand the terrains and weather. "I dont wish to fight you." The Avatar warned. "You entered our grounds, we can't allow you to leave." One of the tree assassin muttered and began to furiously attack. With a flick of a wrist, a closed steel bar blocked his hooked daggers. Everything was timed perfectly as they exchanged strikes with blocks. In a fluid motion, the avatar sweeped the mans leg causing him to fall back while at the same time opening the steel bar to reveal a fan. It fanned just in time to block the other assassins daggers and with a flicker of fire appearing above the fan the Avatar fanned a gigantic swirl of fire! It was so bright and warm, that the assassins stepped back in awe. "Is that what you want?" The Avatar asked. " Who are you?" The two asked not seeing anything like that before. " I am Avatar Koh." The deity revealed and closed his fan to show he was no longer attacking. The name caused both of their eyes to widen, they suddenly bowed in respect before putting a fist to their own chest. " Avatar Koh, you came and answered our prayers." Answered their prayers? The Avatar was confused, did he not wake in the fox temple only to be given this mission? " Please, Avatar. Follow us to our Village, we have lost control of our spirit animal. " The two tree assassins lead the Avatar through their own trails, leaping from branches to leap over cliffs and crossing roped bridges. It wasnt long until he was brought to a giant forest opening. The village was magnificent, or at least it could be? There were houses in the trees, while shops were lined up nicely with many kinds of lanterns. The people there looked as if they had their spirits taken from them. No one bothered to look up to greet the Avatar, since all of them looked to be bummed in their daily chores. They had to explain to the Avatar that the place used to be very lively. A place of celebration and festivals! People would gather from all over to join them! What made it even better were the racoons that one inhabited the place. They left when darkness took the temple and the chill air made it difficult. The chill breeze blew out all their fire, leaving everyone to their own problems. people couldnt cook their food. Treats couldnt be made. There were no lights to see when its evening since the giant forest they were in was so tall! There was no fire for heat, making people not want to leave their homes. They would get by with the blankets they had and the limited food they can make without fire. It made sense to why they would need it but it didn't make it right for them to steal from the monks. They then revealed that it wasn't them who took it but the Racoons. They had been miserable for so long, that they merged together and created a giant spirit of itself. Filled with jelousy, greed and anger. The Avatar vowed that he would take care of the Racoon, but for now; he had a job to do. A single fox tail suddenly revealed behind the Avatar, on the tip a flame flickered to float into his palm. "This is my gift to all of you. " The flame floated to the middle of the town where stones were placed in a circle to create a bonfire. The fire was so pure, that even the cold wet wood began to dry. The scent of the familiar burning wood was enough to get peoples attention. It was small first, but the flames began to dance. As people began to gather, the fire blazed upward to an elegant swirl. Light hit the face of those who hadnt seen it and people began to enjoy the sensation of being warm once more! As the Avatar stood there, he suddenly felt the cold chill that was coming from the forest. It was enough so he could see his breath in the air. The spirit of the Racoon had appeared, he was a massive beast that had to be about 13 feet tall! It wasnt until a small girl screamed that everyone began to panic and retreat to their homes. The Avatar stood in between the village and the spirit and with a deep breathe, reached behind him for an arrow that was in a quiver recently summoned. The tips had red hearts, sharp enough to break through any form. With his aim true, he shot the Racoon only to reveal one problem. He seemed impenetrable. The Racoon spirit was drawn to the fire the avatar had made. The fire he had collected from the monk temple was nothing like the one that was created in the village. The fighters in the village gathered what they had and began to fight off the once friendly spirit that blessed their town. None of their weapons were able to harm the giant beast, but it was enough to make him angry. The racoon finally reacted and charged into the town with full force. There were still crowds of innocent people, desperately trying to get away from the pandemonium. Selflessly, the avatar charged forward and attempted to stop the racoon in his tracks. The beast was much larger than the avatar, but perhaps he would be able to hold him back with an invisible force. Its size was still large enough that even with the force field, bounced the avatar backwards into one side of the festival building. The avatar crashed into it, breaking the wood panels he landed on and old decorations the people had yet to put up. Once he recovered, he stood up and watched as the people of the village did their best to protect their only home. How do you fight a being that can't be physically hurt? Their blades would break on impact and things you can throw only bounced off. If anything, they were making the situation worst. The answer however, came from a broken support that dangled above the building the avatar was thrown into. The piece had broken off and fell on top of a drum that was tucked away in one corner . The single beat was loud enough to vibrate through the air and caused the Racoons ears to perk. Slowly, the avatar was beginning to put the puzzle piece together. Amidst the shouts and banter from the crowds of warriors the avatar picked up the drum and struck it once more. When he saw that the spirits attention suddenly shifted to him he knew he had got his attention. “ Sometimes, brute force isn't the way to win the battle.” The avatar called out, while at the same time keeping a constant beat for the Racoon. His curious instinct returned and the giant beast began to make his way to the Avatar. The sound of the beat was refreshing to both the spirit and the people. Slowly, people began to peek out from their homes and began to make their way to pick up their own drums and instruments. “ All the racoon wanted to do is play. “The avatar realized and reached to touch foreheads with the giant beast. He felt as if he had a mutual understanding with it. Upon contact, the beast glowed and its pent up anger vanished. The giant beast turned to many racoons, all of them playful and curious in nature. The kids began to laugh at their antics and music had once returned to the dull village. Now that there was fire in the village, people began to cook and light up the festival once more. Racoons helped bring up the old decorations in high places and used the fire to light the lanterns. As the Avatar stood there admiring the celebration, he suddenly felt a 2nd tail form behind him. The people here called to him and upon helping them he was given a gift. The fire he had blessed the town with wont last forever. Although it was pure and made from his own magic, it will eventually run out. It was a simple spark to help them bring the village together. They had run out of fire due to the sudden cold front, most of which was coming from the jagged mountains near by. There was something there that influenced this town and the Avatar took it upon himself to continue forward. Now with the spirit of his fox and racoon by his side.
